Writing Community - Winter 2024
This class welcomes all writers, at any level, to come together to form a supportive community that provides writing inspiration and motivation. The teacher will provide lessons, guidance, and creative writing prompts to help all writers find their voice, allowing time for focused writing, optional group sharing, and one-on-one consultation. Examples of lessons include Methods of the Writing Process: pre-writing, brainstorming, theme, voice, and editing; Letter-writing: a lost art reclaimed; and Creative Non-fiction: personal storytelling with pizazz.
About the instructor:
Jim Levanos dedicated 38 years as an ELA teacher and recently retired from an illustrious career. Still wanting to give back to his community, and as a member of the JCC family, he is offering his services to individuals who want to explore their writer’s voice.
