Is there a non-violent path for Israelis & Palestinians? Come hear for yourself!
Netta Hazan, an Israeli, and Kholud Abu-Raeya, a Palestinian, will share their personal stories of transformation from violence to nonviolence, and talk about their efforts to end the occupation and bring peace to their homeland. They will also screen a short clip of the recent, award-winning documentary, Disturbing the Peace, which highlights the work of Combatants for Peace.
In 2006, Israeli and Palestinian former combatants, people who had taken an active role in the conflict, laid down their weapons and established Combatants for Peace. CfP is the only organization worldwide in which former fighters on both sides of an active conflict have chosen to work together for peace and justice. They were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017.
