HIAS Welcome Campaign congregations in RI will have special prayers and speakers about refugees. Rabbi Franklin will give a D'var Torah concerning obligations as Jews to treat refugees with kindness and to help rescue them. Following services, towards the end of the community Kiddush, Baha Sadr, the Director of Refugee Resettlement and Case Management at Dorcas International, will speak and answer questions about the special issues pertaining to refugee settlement in Rhode Island and about how to help.
