Temple Beth-El Teachings from the Holy Mysticat
with Rabbi Gavi Ruit
Posted
Celebrated theologian Rabbi Rachel Adler's delightful book of short stories - "Tales of the Holy Mysticat: Jewish Widsom. Stories by a Feline Mystic" - is the basis for this 10-week class that explores many aspects of Jewish theology and practice - from ancient to modern. Rabbi Adler weaves topics such as Talmudic controversies and Kabbalistic principles, as well as ideas from modern theologians such as Martin Buber and Emmanuel Levinas, into her engaging stories about her beloved Dagesh - known as the Holy Mysticat. Rabbi Gavi Ruit will take us through these stories and delve deeply into the theological ideas they present.
