JCCA "Yom HaZikaron: The Power of Jewish Peoplehood Through Personal and Collective Mourning"
Posted
As Israel prepares for the annual remembrance of its sons and daughters lost to war and terrorism, listen to an intimate conversation about loss and the healing power of personal and collective mourning shared by Israelis who know the heartache and anguish first-hand. Solomon Shapiro, a lone soldier in the IDF originally from New York, will facilitate a panel discussion among family members of Sean Carmeli, a lone soldier killed while on duty in Gaza in 2014; Hadar Goldin, killed during Operation Tzuk Eitan in Gaza in 2014; and Bat Galim Shaer, mother of Gilad Shaer, one of three teens kidnapped from a West Bank bus station and killed in June 2014.
